[Annie//Musings] YOU BECOME WHAT YOU READ!
Lately, I've been contemplating on the subject of freedom.
Living in the "land of the free", we can easily take freedom of speech among others for granted. Especially with information bombarding our daily life, when and how can we preserve those rare, undisturbed quiet times to read a book while sipping your favorite tea? (for me, that would be jasmine or peppermint green tea with a dose of wild honey while sitting by a fireplace, smelling fresh wood burning... and maybe some chocolates, just maybe!)
Did you realize we become what we read?
Today, I had the opportunity of interviewing the founder of an internationally renowned faith-based university. What I took away from our conversation was to "keep it simple and stay on course". Often time, we as people tend to gravitate toward complexity. But do you know that we can always make our own choice to live a simple yet meaningful and impactful life?!
Regardless of what's happening on the outside world, no one can stop our mind from thinking freely. But are we aware of whom we give permission to influence our mind (the central hub in charge of our thoughts)?

Today, I CHOOSE to be inspired. How about you?
